Just In: Odibo Swear In Exco Members In Oteri-Ughelli Amidst Controversy

The President of Oteri-Ughelli community in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State, Hon Efe Odibo have sworn a nine man member to constitute his executives amidst controversy.

Those sworn in are,  Odafe Prince Oghenevwogaga as vice president, Mr. Aruoture Freeborn as Secretary, Ovwodome Erirhe as PRO, Miss Tate Ovuoke as Emete (Girls) Happy Rep., Mr Onoabedje James as Assistant Secretary, Hon Onobaka Patrick ex-official I, Ogagona Godspower ex-official II, and Mr. Edwin Okotie as Legal Adviser.

The electoral committee chairman of Oteri-Ughelli community, Hon Emmanuel Alu was summoned to appear before two shrine at Awhire Agbarho-Otor and Ayelala/ Agharode in Afiesere respectively by one of the contestants, Mr. Hezekiah Ugbuwiako for declaring the election inconclusive.

Ugbuwiako had alleged that he won the election before it was declared inconclusive by the electoral committee.

In his speech, Odibo sued for peace among elders, leaders, youths and the women of the community.

He said, “Elections have come and gone and we must remember that we are brothers and sisters in this community. The unity, progress and development of Oteri must be our watchword.

“I therefore stretch the hands of fellowship and unity to every member of Oteri community to enable us move to the next level. I solicit for the total support and cooperation of everbody because in unity we stand.
