University of Ibadan, (UI) has cleared the air over the recent allegation leveled against Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State by his political rivals, that he did not graduate from the Institution, accusing him of forging his certificate.
The Premier University in her press release, made available to newsmen through the Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Faluyi this afternoon, said, that the allegation whether the governor did not graduate from the University, and had forged his certificate is not true.
The Press release read “Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State graduated from the University of Ibadan where he studied Classics.
“Obaseki gained admission to the University in 1976 and graduated in 1979 with a Second Class Honours, Lower Division.“Records of his Admission and Graduation are intact in the archives of the University.” Faluyi echoed.
