A stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dr Henry Ofa, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro on the occassion of his 52 birthday anniversary.
Ofa, in a statement on Thursday, described the Deputy Governor as an accomplished politician who has shown enviable commitments to the peace and development of the state.
He said the sterling leadership qualities, political adroitness and tactical disposition of Otuaro remain significant factors in the maintenance of peace in the hitherto restive Niger Delta region.
“As the Chairman of the Delta State Advocacy Committee Against Vandalism of Oil and Gas Facilities, you have continuously proven your mettle by sowing and nurturing the seed of peace in Delta State and the Niger Delta region. Your efforts have, no doubt, yielded numerous dividends in the revenues and economic shape of our dear state. You represent peace, Your Excellency.
“Your enviable success at extending the peace and conflict resolution component of the SMART Agenda to the creeks and coastal areas of the state smacks of bravery, courage and patriotism. You’re fully aware that no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphete of rancour and hostilities; hence you have devoted much of your spirited effort at sustaining peace”, the PDP stalwart said.
Ofa, who once served on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DEAOPADEC), observed that the leadership prowess of the Deputy Governor remained just as impeccable as they were when they served together on the board of DESOPADEC, noting that Otuaro places a high premium on the welfare of the masses.
“As your friend and former colleague, I celebrate with you today as you mark your 52nd birthday anniversary. May God continue to bless you with good health, long life and strength to serve our State and its beloved citizens”.
