Covid-19 Lockdown: NBTC LTD Donates Bags Of Rice To Host Community

OVWIAN-As part of efforts to support her host Communities and Promote the true hallmark of Corporate Social Responsibility in the on-going lockdown as a result of the Global Covid-19 pandemic disease, the Management of NBTC LTD led by its Managing Director, Mrs. Oluseyi Oluyede yesterday gave out Bags of rice and Some financial support as palliatives to the Community People, Citizens, grassroots in one of her host Communities in Delta State.

This was dislosed to our reporter yesterday at Ovwian Community, Delta State during the Presentation of the palliatives by the Managing Director, NBTC LTD, Mrs Oluseyi Oluyede to the vulnerable Persons in the community, who are majorly the grassroots populace to curb the effect of the sit at home order, a directives from both the Federal and Delta State Government as a result of the Lockdown on Global Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria, precisely Delta State.

While presenting the palliatives to vulnerable Persons in Ovwian Community, the Managing Director of NBTC LTD, Mrs Oluyede said that the company saw it necessary to support the elderly, widows and those worst hit financially by the sit at home order which is why the organization decided to reach out to them.

The Managing Director, NBTC LTD then enjoined them to obey the sit at home order by ensuring that they Practice social distancing and regular hand washing because that is the sure way to reduce the spread of the virus, COVID 19 since the virus is highly infectious.

Speaking further She enjoined the people of Ovwian indigene to as a matter of urgency strictly adhere to these principles as earlier mentioned by her, which is WHO’s guidelines on Covid-19 pandemic preventions so as to nib the spread of the virus in the bud and thereafter the economy will start booming again.

The Ovwian Community President-General, Hon. Mathew Uparan was very pleased with the initiative and thoughtfulness of the MD which he said is Novel.

In his words: “No gesture was made towards the community during the ‘Bird-flu’ and ‘Ebola’ event by the company, it is therefore a pleasant surprise to be remembered by the new management”.

“This he said portends a willingness to foster and promote the good relationship which the present management has been noted for”.

He Prayed that God will bless the Management and lift the organization higher”.

The Community Leader on behalf of his people also promised a robust, and cooperate and working relationship with the Management of NBTC LTD.
