The Immediate past Senior Special Assistance (SSA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Inter-Party Relations and Delta State Chairman, Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) Hon. Chief Efe Tobor in a joint statement with the CUPP Spokesman who doubles as the Delta state KOWA Party Chairman, Prince Henry.E.Eze(JP) have applauded the Tribunal judgement that affirmed the Victory of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the winner of the March, 2019 Guber election in the State, described gesture as the Reaffirmation by Deltans.
While addressing the Newsmen today in CUPP State Secretariat Asaba, Delta State capital,they congratulated His Excellency Sen.Dr Ifeanyi Okowa on his resounding victory in the Governorship election petition Tribunal.
In their words:”They believe that the ruling was a well deserved one as it reflected the will and mandate of all Deltans”.
“There is no doubt that Okowa’s achievements in his first tenure endeared CUPP to endorse him as our consensus candidate during the 2019 governorship election in Delta State”.
“We had contended then that Dr. Okowa has performed creditably and does not need appeal to ethnic sentiments to be returned. He had revamped our sports infrastructure which had been abandoned, faced the issue of flooding in Asaba squarely, rehabilitated certain roads awarded and abandoned by the previous administration. He had began a roads revolution across the entire state, improved the airport which was shabbily done by the same previous administration, started”.
The Leadership stated further that the construction of the ambitious Delta State Secretariat, reconstruction of the various vocational schools across the state, and the youths empowerment schemes which included: YAGEP, STEP and other platforms which had promoted self- sufficiency amongst young men and women in the state is a clear evidence of his developmental Strides.
To this end, the group noted that the above achievements of Governor Okowa as stated aforetime gave him the overwhelming victory in the last Governorship election.
CUPP Leadership therefore call on Chief Great Ogboru and the APC to join hands with Governor Okowa in his patriotic determination to build a Stronger Delta.
