The 13th Bet9ja Royal Cup would go down as one of the most memorable editions of the grassroot soccer showpiece, as it will involve teams from all 25 local government areas of Delta state.
The first time this is happening in the history of the competition.
In recent times, the grassroot in Delta have never had a tournament of this magnitude. This one offers the desired light at the end of the tunnel.
There has also been glimpse of an eventful schedule for grassroot football clubs this ember period, as the organizers set the ball rolling with the competition’s maiden press conference at the DFA Patrick Okpomo Football House in Asaba on Wednesday, July 9, 2019.
That moment officially heralded the sales of registration forms for the Royal Cup tourney across Delta State, couple with conscious media campaigns in both conventional and online media platforms.
To further get things in motion, all local government areas’ Bet9ja Royal Cup 2019 Coordinators would be having a general meeting with the organizers on Monday, August 5, 2019 by 10 am.
The meeting, which will hold at Lauren Hotel, Ekete-Udu, will among other things fine tune the gains recorded so far in preparation for the competition, particularly the registration phase.
From its humble beginning in 2006, the tournament has never deviated from its core target of unearthing raw talents and put smiles of the faces of those who are passionate about watching the best of beautiful football at the grassroot.
Grassroot football development has always been the focal point!
The experience of last year’s edition still lingers in the memories of both the winners and the losers, as well as the followers.
Fast forward to 2019, the competition is poised to give both players and coaches a lifetime experience, as many opportunities abound with enlightenment sessions for coaches on the new trends in the game, and for players, the chance to impress foreign scouts coming to witness the tourney.
Already, coordinators have put in place to coordinate the whole registration process in the various Local Government Areas of the State, working hand in hand with Super Bet9ja agents nearest to them to ensure a hitch free exercise.
Registration for the grassroot soccer showpiece is still on at the moment and any interested team can get their registration form at the nearest Bet9ja agent’s shop in Delta State, and thereafter, make payment into its Zenith Bank account, with account number: 1016470678 and account name: Bet9ja Agents MPCS.
