The Delta State Governorship Candidates Forum (DGCF) under the leadership of Dr. Clarke Mejebi Anthony has congratulated Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on his 60th birthday.
The forum in a statement urges him to engage competent people to govern the state in his second tenure.
According to the chairman of the forum, “Okowa’s leadership style in ensuring that there is a lasting peace in the state has facilitated huge infrastructural development across board.
“The first priority for measuring good governance is the existence of peace without the state would have been plagued with chaos and restiveness, which would mitigate development.
“Governor Okowa’s brilliance in governance has brought about human capital and infrastructural development, which has attracted people’s interest in government as he (Governor Okowa) operates an open and transparent system.
“With Governor Okowa, Delta State have been moving forward, and we (DGCF) will continue to support Governor Okowa’s administration to achieve his smart agenda of a stronger and better Delta”.Dr Clarke assured.
“The DGCF wholeheartedly felicitate with His Excellency Governor Okowa on his birthday and pray Almighty God continue to grant you His Wisdom, Grace, Protection and good Health to pilot the affairs of the state for a Stronger and Better Delta”. The statement added.
Also, the assistant secretary of DGCF Engr. Lucky Oghotevwo Oyovwi in his congratulatory message said, “The collaborative approach of governor Okowa is worth emulating and we pray that Almighty God continue to grant him long life in good health and the wisdom to attain the desired goal of a stronger and better Delta.
Engr. Lucky Oyovwi added that one key quality of a great leader is the ability to know the right competent people and engage them.
“Gov. Okowa’s leadership brilliance has been seen in the appointments of competent professionals so far, and urge all Deltans to support Governor Okowa’s administration to achieve the desired Delta State”.
