SECRETARY to Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, DBIR, Chief Mike Edegware has expressed optimism over the outcome and imminent victory of the incumbent Delta State governor, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa and the People’s Democratic Party in the state.
Addressing newsmen at unit 9 ward 7 in Igbide, Isoko South Local Government Area, said, “The elections was peaceful in my area but generally if was not because we recorded the incidents of violence, destruction of electoral materials and lawlessness in some units but with timely arrival of security personnel, normalcy returned.
According to him, “Electoral materials arrived quite early but the card reader was having issues before it came up and irrespective of what happened, the people turnout in large numbers and voted for the candidates of the mind.
“Okowa is going for second term in office and his destination is 2023 because his works, development and infrastructures are very visible for Deltans to see and the Delta State House of Assembly winner will be of the PDP.
“With the results coming, PDP is coasting to victory because Deltans voted for the good works of the governor who has impacted many lives across the state.
“People are in politics to find a platform to develop their state and we have seen the dividends of democracy and i am congratulating the incumbent governor and the People’s Democratic Party in advance because victory is sure”. He said.
