ASABA-The General Manager, Nigerian Television Authority(NTA) Channel 11 Asaba, Mr. Richard Yaboh has said that its Management is committed to Partnering with Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Community Based Organizations for Sustainable peace and Development in Delta State in line with United Nations SDGs.
This was made known to our Correspondent today in his office at NTA Channel 11 Asaba, the Channel that brings the Nation to your Door Steps during a Courtesy call by the Leadership of Forum of Delta State NGOs led by its Coordinator and CEO, Eziodu Initiative For Sustainable Environmental Development, Dcn Okezi Odugala, who was accompanied by other Executives, Founders/CEOs of other Organizations: Delta Cultural Initiative (DCI) Worldwide, Ndokwa Cultural Initiative, ICWCED, and others.
Delta NGOs Boss, Dcn Okezi Odugala, in a Speech presented to the General Manager, NTA Channel 11, Asaba who was unavoidably absent due to some engagements outside the State, represented by the Marketing Manager, Mrs Eunice Okpikpa who acted on his behalf Stated that the Forum is made up of about 120 Organizations and had been in existence since 9th July, 2015, working in different thematic areas with the vision of partnering with Stakeholders for Sustainable peace and development in Delta State.
“ We as a Forum, Coalition had in the time past Launched several Campaigns for the betterment of the society, Delta State, and Nigeria in general which includes: No More Business as Usual, Keep Delta State Clean and Safe, I Love Delta State, Campaign against Vandalization of Oil Pipe-line and Public installations”, Odugala stated.
“The UN Sustainable Development Goals can only be attained if the message is taken to the grassroots and all Stakeholders are carried along. As a media outfit, we appreciate your critical position In the goals in our dear State. The Forum will be glad if your Corporate Social Responsibility is expanded to accommodate us at a discounted rate ”, Delta NGOs Boss, Odugala Stated.
In response to the Speech presented to the Management of NTA Asaba, Mrs Eunice Okpikpa, assured Delta NGOs of Partnership for Sustainable Peace and Development in Delta State.“We Welcome you all to NTA Channel 11 Asaba, the Station that brings the Nation at your Door Steps. Your Coming is very critical especially at a time in our Nation’s political history we are to take decisions that will affect us positively, we mean the 2019 general elections in Nigeria. We commend your efforts as NGOs just like us the media committed to ensuring a peaceful society”, Mrs Okpikpa Stated.
“As you all know that we are non-partisan, our coverage is for everybody , we maintain balanced reporting in line with NBC Standards. We pledges partnership with the Forum given special Considerations to cover your programs, jingle activities that Support good Governance, accountability, peace and development, rallies, THMs, peace and Security, free and fair election at a discounted rate and other areas as the need may arise in line with your demands”, she added.
