AAC berates Delta govt for spending over N20b On Aides Annually

Governorship candidate of African Action Congress, AAC, Frank Esanubi has described as waste of resources and fund by Delta State government to be spending over N20b annually on Special Advisers and other political appointees while the state is in a mess.
Esanubi made this statement at the Palace of Pere of Kiribiri-Mein Kingdom in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, during his governorship and House of Assembly flag off campaign.
According to him, “It is a waste on the side of the Delta State Government to be spending over N20 billion annually on Special Assistants, Advisers and all other political appointees who have no offices or contributing to the economic growth and development of the state.
He said, “Our state is under severe attack, our Civil servants are being owed bulk of salaries, only to be paid few days, months to elections.
Esanubi said, “When we assumed office, we would ensure the annual N20b spent on Special Advisers, Assistants and other appointees will be invested on fresh graduates to start up again businesses.
We have about 20,000 fresh graduates from the National Youth Service annually and if One million naira is given to them without interest, they would be happy to trade with it.
Speaking further, the AAC gubernatorial candidate in Delta State stated that within their first two years in office,  a state University will be established in Bomadi in other to draw education closer to the coastal communities.
Also, the House of Assembly candidate for Bomadi Constituency, Comrade Tam Oburumu in speech disclosed that the people of the local government have been neglected since the inception of democracy and those representing them have fails to give quality representation.
“We need to take the rightful position if we must progress, self representation is no longer needed in our constituency and stand against Fulani herdsmen terrorism.
Our people need quality representation, speedy infrastructural development to boost the economic activities in our constituency.
“The cuurent government has failed to stand and defend the people they swore oath to protect and represent against  Fulani herdsmen in the state.
“It would also interest us to know that Kiribiri-Mein kingdom is one of the communities in Bomadi all previous administration has failed to recognize them and their traditional rulers”.
On his part, the Pere of Kiribiri-Mein kingdom, HRM G. T Oporomoh said,  your vision for the state as a governorship candidate of party indicates that you have the interest of the state.
“The people of Kiribiri-Mein kingdom are very much ready to work with political parties which vision would effect the lives of the common man. The monarch stated.
