A formidable political pressure goup, People’s Progressive Parliament (PPP) weekend endorsed former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubaka for President and other People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in Delta State for the forth coming general elections at their national secretariat in Ughelli.
The group which is aimed at ensuring the best candidates that can deliver on their electioneering promises emerge victoriously in the 2019 general elections.
While addressing members and those that were at the event, the group president,
Comr. Mathew Onorhere noted “Today marks the dawn of a new beginning as we as a group after due diligence have deem it fit to endorse candidates that will salvage Nigerians from the untold hardship and abject poverty the we experience under the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) in the past three years.”
He further stated “Because of the insensitivity of the ruling of Party led by President Muhammed Buhari whose economic policies brought Nigeria from the fastest developing economy in the world when PDP ruled to the poorest and most indebted nation in the world today.”
“ I cannot express my dismal about the fact that “ President Muhammed Buhari declared Biafra agitators who were peacefully demanding for their right a terrorist
group while the Fulani herdsmen that continuously kill innocent Nigerians are not declared a terrorist group.”
The group secretary, Comr. (Evang.) Sam Nakuduvwo announced the candidates that were endorsed as follows: former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubaka for
President, Federal Republic of Nigeria; Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for Governor, Delta State; Hon. Evelyn Oboro for Senate, Delta Central; Bar. (Chief) Samuel Mariere for
House of Represenative, Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal constituency.
Other Include: Hon. Kenneth Ibru for Delta State House of Assembly , Ughelli Constituency I; Hon. Eric Oharisi, Delta State House of Assembly , Ughelli
Constituency II; Hon. Reuben Izeze, Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli South Constituency and Hon. Peter Efejitobor, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA),
Udu Constituency.
The group secretary urge all members to mobilize and canvass from unit to unit, ward to ward to ensure electorate come out enmass to vote for their candidates
in the forth coming general elections. He also express gratitude to those that supported them morally and financially to make the event remarkable among whom are the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Godwin Adode; Bar. (Chief) Samuel Mariere and Chief Reuben Oteri.
