PDP Oteri Unit in ward 2/6 passes vote of Confidence on Okowa, Agas

As a result of Delta Stat government developmental strides in Ughelli North Local Governmet Area, Men,Women and youths of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Oteri-Ughelli unit in ward 2/6 have passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and secretary to the state government, Rt. Hon Festus Ovie Agas and other candidates of the party.
Speaking in an enlarged meeting of the party held in Oteri-Ughelli community,  Chief Dr. Peter Oriavwote said, “We the people of Oteri-Ughelli community are commending the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for appointing our son, Rt. Hon Ovie Festus Agas into his cabinet as the secretary to the state government.
He said, “Some of the developmental strides of Governor in the community are, the construction of Oteri-Ughelli community road which has boost the economic activities in the area, renovation of all classroom blocks of Itive primary school and the building of a new model Secondary school in the community.
“We are assuring the Governor that his reelection in 2019 will be a work over because his works are testimonies that are already speaking for him and we know he is going to do more for Ughelli people in his second term.
“The Elders and leaders of the community are in total support of his ambition because Oteri belongs to PDP from the local government to the national level”.
A leader of the party who also spoke said, “We want to put it straight that, no immediate younger brother to the Secretary to the state government, Rt Hon Festus Ovie Agas decamped from the PDP as reported in some national dailies but his cousin, Mr. Frank Okerewe Agadioma and his defection has nothing to do with the treatment meted out to the SSG.
“He Frank was never a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and as such he cannot leave a party which he never belongs and such should be disregarded”.
Also speaking on behalf the elders and leaders, the spokes person of Oteri community, Mr. Emmanuel Omote Evwerheraye, said, “Okowa has honored us the people of this community by appointing our son as secretary.
“Our community has ben given another face lift through the renovation of the primary and building of a new model secondary schools”.
Chairman of ward 2/6, Clement Ikpedia in his speech held that Okowa has done absolutely well to earn his return to Government House in 2019.
“His Human Capital Development through YAGEP and STEP program, has moved youths from this ward to another level by been engaged and they are doing great in their various fields”.
The motion for the vote of confidence and endorsement of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and Festus Ovie Agas was moved by Hon Emmanuel Alu and was seconded by Chief Uteme Bateren in an enlarged meeting of the party held at the community.
