As the 2023 general election draw nears, the Coordinator of the Delta Democrats Forum, (DDF) Mr. Ufuoma Steven Atare, has revealed that Delta State immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor is the right choice to occupy the seat of Governor for a greater Delta State.
Atare, in a statement disclosed that Mrakpor would prioritize even development across the state if given the mandate.
According to the statement, Mrakpor as a detrabilized Deltan and a man of integrity who is poised to render selfless and accountable services to the state.
“He is equipped with the requisite experience and all the key qualities to look out for in a public office holder.
While noting that Mrakpor was out to build on the achievements of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Atare said “Mrakpor will provide a new and trusted future of unity in diversity, shared prosperity and harmonious peace unlocking our full potentials as a people.
“Mrakpor will introduce new series of educational schemes and consolidate on the vocational and skill acquisition programs in our school system; promote SMEs; improve state transport system, initiate reforms in the health sector and attract investors by harnessing the rich natural heritage and waterways in the state by ensuring that all our ports are revived and brought back to business.”
He further mentioned that Mrakpor understands that youths are significant dividends of the global population, such that they need to be included in every decision-making process.
“As an arbitrator, he will ensure peace amongst all communities and put an end to community clashes in the state”.
