Hundreds of ex-students union leaders of Delta state origin have stormed Orogun to reaffirmed their position to deliver the aspiration of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt Hon. Friday Osanebi at the 2023 governorship election in Delta state.

This was contained in a resolution tagged “Orogun Hiroshima Declaration” by the ex-students union leaders from the comrade comrade community drawn from various institutions across the country at Orogun community in Ughelli North local government area.

According to the Orogun Hiroshima Declaration, “The Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege has delivered beyond expectation in terms representation at the national Assembly.

Addressing newmen at the declaration, convener of the gathering, Mr Progress Omo-Agege said, “We have chosen  today to come together as former students union leader across the state to issue a red sack card to the present bad governance being displayed by governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his cohorts.

“We have choose today to declare and reaffirmed our support for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt. Hon Friday Osanebi as governor and deputy at the 2023 elections.

“Today is a special day and we have decided to design and call it “Orogun Hiroshima Declaration” to sack PDP from Delta state from top to bottom. We have decided that we are not going to leave anybody that will underdevelop us at this point.

“And we found out that, Ovie Omo-Agege is that signal, benchmark and quality that will build a new Delta and we have decided to key into his EDGE agenda.

Having studied law as his first and second degree, it shows that he is academically sound and as a senator, he has delivered beyond every reasonable doubt.

Every Deltan is very proud of him, his senatorial district is very proud of him, Niger Delta region is very proud of him and if he has demonstrated that kind of influence and position, one would wonder what he will do as a governor.

From his records, he is very qualified and competent to take the state to the next level, we doubt him not as you cannot see that content and support a half baked people.

“As former students union leaders, we have our modalities at the grass root from the unit to the ward level and with the calibre of people here with the same school of thought that started from the foundation, the structure is with us.”

Also speaking, Prince Koyoyo Uhrorho said, “We are here in Orogun in solidarity with our brother to join him reaffirm our position that the aspiration and mandate of Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege to be governor of Delta state is with our full support.

“As comrades from the comrade community, we are going to mobilize for him great and and as a candidate in 2019 and aspirant in 2022, i have what it takes to mobilize great support for Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt Hon Friday Osanebi ticket in 2023.”

In the same vein, comrade Stephen Ekuerhare said, “The developmental stride of Sen Ovie Omo-Agege across the three senatorial districts are evidence that he will manage Delta to the highest level
