Delta State House of Assembly candidate for Ughelli North Consituancy II, Hon. Eric Oharisi, has expressed optimism that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP will win all polling units in Ughelli North in the presidential and National Assembly elections of Saturday.
Oharisi stated this, when his campaign train visited Uduere, Otovwodo, Ododego and Erhuemukohwoarien in Ughelli North, maintaining that PDP has been endeared into the heart of Ughelli people.
According to him, “when you see people loving you, it’s either you are doing something to affect their lives or you have a listening ear to their plight. All the constituency projects for my constituency were cited where they are supposed to be cited. Like there was an issue that was brought to my notice about the light situation in Uwenwi, I quickly swung into action and today that issue is almost settled.
“You see, these are some of the things they saw that made them conclude that this is indeed true Representation and that is why they are willing to give me a second chance. We did primary which was very free and fair and that primary produced me as the party’s flag bearer for the March 2nd election, and that of the governor, his excellency Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.
“The Governor himself has done so much for us in terms of appointments and infrastructural development and we the Ughelli people are appreciative and we will vote for him. We appreciate him because in one term, he cannot do all. We need to support him for a second term.
“If you look at the state, Okowa has done over 360 roads in just three and half years so he should be given a second chance, likewise myself, the love my people are showing me is as a result of my good representation and I promised to keep it up and do more for them in my second tenure.
“My advise to my people today is for them to remain peaceful and come out en-mass to vote on Saturday and on the 2nd of March. As it is today the opposition, I mean at the national level are afraid, they know they cannot win election. They are afraid of us and in my constituency we will win all the polling units.”
