2019: Ogbimi Sue For Peaceful Polls

A PDP chieftain in Isoko North Local Government, Hon. Jude Omena Ogbimi, has urged politicians, electorates and other critical stakeholders in the forthcoming 2019 general elections to ensure peaceful conduct of the polls in the state.

Jude Ogbimi made this call when he hosted his members of Otor-Igho Ward 13, to intimate them on the importance of exercising their franchise at his Otor-Igho residence, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Ogbimi said that Governor Okowa administration has resolved to contribute its quota to the development and deepening of the country’s democracy by ensuring that the state and Nigeria experience a peaceful, transparent, free, fair and credible elections.

He urged the electorates to vote for all candidates under the leading party in the state which has brought dividends of democracy to the people, in order for the party to continue in attracting development to the electorates.

He further warned all eligible voters  never to be cajoled by politicians from the opposition party in the state who are self centred and full of deceits, positing that those politicians and their political party has nothing to offer as regards the development and delivery of dividends of democracy to the electorates.

Ogbimi noted that the threat posed by electoral violence often affects the outcome of elections, urging youths to shun electoral violence as well as critical stakeholders to play their roles in ensuring that the country’s democracy is deepened and strengthened by upholding practices and actions that promote peace and unity.
